¿Qué valores hemos obtenido con la participación en Euroscola 2015? /What values have we got learnt of Euroscola 2015?

Ya en la recta final, muy nerviosos y acabando los últimos detalles, nos ponemos a reflexionar: ¿Qué es lo que hemos aprendido durante este tiempo? La verdad, es que este concurso nos ha servido para madurar. El tener que buscarnos la vida, o el hacer frente a las dificultades que se nos echaban encima, nos ha hecho más fuertes y perseverantes. No nos hemos rendido y hemos trabajado duro hasta el final, lo cual nos hace sentirnos satisfechos. Hemos aprendido también a ponernos de acuerdo entre nosotros y a solucionar nuestras diferencias mediante el diálogo y con respeto. En un grupo no siempre se está de acuerdo y surgen pequeñas discusiones, pero si no se mantiene unido, no saldrá adelante.

Por otro lado, este concurso nos ha ayudado a reforzar nuestro gran vínculo con el voluntariado. Y ahora, sabemos con certeza que es algo que nos llena y que nos caracteriza, y por lo tanto, forma parte de nosotros.

Gracias a este concurso, nos dimos cuenta de lo importante que es esforzarse por conseguir nuestras propuestas, e independientemente del resultado que obtengamos, estamos muy orgullosos de nuestro proyecto.

We are already in the final period, and we are very excited, finishing the final details, and we reflect: What have we learnt during the time we spent? The truth is that this conquest have heloed us to mature. Getting all that we needed by ourselves or solving all the problems thar appeared, have turned us stronger and more persevering. We didn't give up, and we have worked hardly until the end, and it makes us feel satisfied. We also learnt to agree with our mates or even to solve our disputes by the dialog and with respect. In a group, we sometimes disagree with the others, and this can generate some struggles, but, if the group doesn't keep joined, it won't go ahead.

On the other hand, this conquest has helped us to strengthen our great link with volunteering. And now, we certainly know that it is something that satisfies and characterizes us, and therefore, it

Thanks to this conquest, we realised that the important that giving our best is in order to get our goals, and no mattering the result that we get, we are very proud of our project.

Colaboración en la carrera de Beta/ Collaboration in Beta's charity race

En nuestro colegio somos dos grupos los que participamos en Euroscola, nosotros y el grupo Beta. Beta organizó el domingo doce de abril una carrera solidaria en nuestro colegio en la cual varios miembros de nuestro grupo participaron corriendo. Una vez allí ayudamos a colocar cosas o repartir comida, ¿por qué no hacerlo? Una vez acabado todo pidieron ayuda para recoger en lo que colaboramos sin dudar. Fue una mañana divertida y ajetreada, lo único malo las agujetas del día siguiente. Desde Nexus les deseamos mucha suerte.

In our school we are two groups who participated in Euroscola, Nexus and Beta group. Beta organized on Sunday April 12 a charity race, in which several members of our group participated running. Once there, they helped to put things or hand out food, why not? Once done everything they asked for help to clean, and we accepted without hesitation. It was a fun and a busy morning, the only bad was the soreness the next day. From Nexus wish them good luck.

Operación Kilo junto al Banco de Alimentos/ Kg operation with the FoodBank

Hoy ha sido un día especial. Hemos estado turnándonos para cubrir los turnos necesarios para la Operación Kilo.
Cargar alimentos, empaquetarlos, etiquetarlos, apuntar en una hoja los kilos que llevamos, cambiar la hoja al cubrir 100 kilos, cargar con los carritos hasta el camión que se encargaba de transportar los alimentos al Banco...Pero a pesar del esfuerzo, nos hemos sentido todos muy satisfechos de haber participado y haber ayudado en esta gran campaña que tanta falta hace. ¡Todo esfuerzo obtiene sus beneficios! Y qué mejor que este beneficio personal, que seguro, nos ayudará en experiencias posteriores. ¡Buen trabajo, equipo!

Today was a special day. We have been taking turns to cover shifts necessary for Operation Kilo.
We had to load foods, package, label, pointing on a sheet of kilos that we had to change the sheet when we covered 100 kilos, bear the carts to the truck that was responsible for transporting food to the Bank ... But despite the effort, we have felt all very pleased to have participated and have helped in this great campaign that is sorely lacking. Every effort gets its benefits! And what better than this personal benefit, sure, help us in later experiences. Good work, team!

Noticia en Vigo é / New in Vigo é

Hoy, aparecemos en este diario electrónico, que es bastante nuevo, pero a pesar de ello, está teniendo mucho éxito. En el artículo aparecemos juntos a nuestros compañeros de Beta. Una noticia escrita por José Luis Barreiro Areses, apartado de solidaridad.

Today, we appear in this electronic journal, which is fairly new, but despite this, is having much success. In the article we appear together with our colleagues from Beta. A story written by José Luis Barreiro Areses, away from solidarity.

Kenia

Desde Nexus hemos visto en estas últimas semanas/meses, un par de noticias, que nos han hecho plantearnos bastantes cosas. Estas noticias han sido el atentado terrorista del semanario francés Charlie Hebdo, y los asesinatos a 147 estudiantes en Kenia por extremistas somalíes.

Después de diversos debates que surgieron dentro de nuestro grupo, acerca de cada una de las noticias, surgió el tema de que, habiendo muchos más muertos, la noticia del atentado de Kenia había causado muchísimo menos revuelo mediático y se había escuchado mucho menos.

Investigando, descubrimos este articulo, que nos gustaría compartir, en el que se habla de por qué ha tenido mucha más relevancia el atentado de París.

From Nexus, we have seen in these last weeks/months, a couple of news, that have made us ask ourselves a lot of thing. These news have been the bombing of the French weekly Charlie Hebdo, and murders to 147 students in Kenya by Somali extremists.

After various discussions that took place in our group, about each of the news, the theme that emerged was that, having many more deaths, the news of the attack in Kenya had caused much less stir media and it was not as heard.

Researching, we founf this article, which we would like to share, which is talking about why the bombing of Paris were more talked.
