Dinámicas sobre la UE en EP/ Speeches about the EU in primary.

Uno de los objetivos del concurso es concienciar al mayor número posible de personas sobre la tarea que realiza la UE para conseguir un mayor bienestar común.

Decidimos centrarnos en este objetivo y acordamos con los profesores de 4º y 6º de primaria en varias reuniones, ir una tarde a dar unas charlas a sus clases y hacerlas amenas mediante dinámicas y, a su vez, que se interesaran así en la Unión Europea y sus diferentes metas en el mundo.

Al ser un grupo de diez, y al haber cuatro secciones, nos dividimos de forma que hubiera dos o tres personas en cada sección.

Empezamos la primera hora de la tarde con cuarto de primaria. Al ser niños que oscilan entre los 9-10 años, decidimos hacerlo lo más dinámico posible.

Comenzamos con un sencillo juego, que consistía en hacer grupos y repartir ceras de color rosa y negro, folios y tijeras a cada grupo, pero en cantidades diferentes. Con eso, deberían hacer corazones.

Tras esto, nombramos a un representante de cada grupo los cuales tendrían que negociar entre ellos para, mediante el trueque, conseguir el material que les escaseaba o faltaba.

A continuación, les dijimos tan sólo una frase: "Haced el mayor número de corazones posibles" y allá fueron. Eufóricos y nerviosos empezaron a hacer corazones sin parar.

Al terminar el periodo de tiempo asignado, recogimos los corazones y les preguntamos: "¿Este es el mayor número de corazones que podríais hacer?" y convencidos respondieron "en el tiempo que nos disteis, sí" Pero nosotras proseguimos y les dijimos: "¿Y no creéis, que si cada grupo se hubiera ocupado de una cosa, por ejemplo el grupo A de recortar, el B de pintar, etc. hubiérais conseguido más número de corazones?" seguido de un "ahhhh, claro."

Relacionamos esta dinámica con la UE, y les explicamos que lo mismo que podían haber hecho, es lo que hacen en la UE, cada país se ayuda entre sí, para llegar a un máximo bienestar común.

Después de ese pequeño rato divertido, les pusimos una presentación que habíamos trabajado anteriormente, que contenía imágenes de nuestra ciudad de diferentes ámbitos. Ellos tenían que decir qué es lo que veían y qué  podrían hacer para solucionar ese problema o contribuir.

Para concluir, brevemente les hablamos de nuestra iniciativa solidaria (el concierto) y a dónde irían destinados los beneficios.

One of the main objectives of the contest is to awareness people about that the EU is working to get a better welfare.

We decided to focus on this objective and we agreed with the teachers of 4th and 6th of primary, in several meetings, go one afternoon to give a speech to their classes and make them enjoyable through games and, at the same time, trying to get their attention and so, learning about the EU and it differents goals in the world.

As a group of ten, and having four sections, we divided so that there was two or three people in each section.

Early in the afternoon, we went to 4th of primary. They are children ranging from 9-10 years, then, we decided to make it as fun as possible.

We started with an easy game, which consisted in make groups and distributed pink and black waxes, sheets and scissors to each group, but in different amounts. With that, they should make hearts.

After this, we appointed one capitain in each group who would have to negotiate among themselves, to, through barter, get the material that they did not have or was scarce.

Then, we said only one sentence: "Do as many hearts as you can" and there they went.

Nervous, they started to do hearts nonstop.

At the end of the time, we picked up the hearts and we asked: "Is this the greatest  number of hearts that you could do?" and convinced they said "in the time that you gave us, of course!" But we told them: "And, you don't think that if each group had dealt with something, for example, group A cropping, group B, painting, etc. you had gotten more hearts?" followed by an "ahhh, for sure".

We relate this dynamic with the EU, and explained that the same thing that they could have done, is what the EU is doing, each country will help each other to reach a better welfare.

After that funny little while, we showed them a presentation that we had worked previously, which had images of our city from different aspects. They had to say what they were seeing and what they could do to solve that problem or for help it.

At the end, we told them about our charitable initiative, the concert, and where the benefits would go.

La hora siguiente nos tocó sexto de primaria, en el que hicimos el mismo juego pero esta vez haciendo cubos o estrellas, en vez de corazones. El resultado fue el mismo, la misma expresión al decirles que trabajando todos juntos hubieran conseguido más.

A continuación, les pusimos una presentación que habíamos hecho, sobre la Unión Europea, ya que anteriormente sus profesores nos habían explicado más o menos su nivel de conocimiento sobre ella.

La presentación consistía en sencillas preguntas con opciones posibles y todas ellas relacionadas con la UE. ¡Los resultados fueron muy buenos!

Fue una tarde muy agradable, así como divertida y lúdica, concienciamos a cada niño sobre el trabajo que realiza la UE y de aunque sean pequeños ellos también pueden colaborar...¡Toda ayuda para mejorar nuestro mundo es bienvenida!

In the next hour of that afternoon, we went to 6th of primary, when we did the same game but, this time, making cubes or stars, instead of hearts. The result was the same, the same expression when we told them that if they were worked together, they would reach more stars or cubes.

After, we showed them another  presentation that we had worked, about the EU, because their teachers previously explained us their level of knowledge about it.

The presentation consisted in easy questions with options and all of them in relation with the EU.

The results were so good!

It was a nice afternoon, and it was fun and playful, each child build awareness about the work of the EU and however they are child, they may also work ... Any help to improve our world is welcome!
