CONCIERTO/ THE CONCERT
28 de marzo de 2015.... ¡Al fin llegó el día del concierto! Después de tanta presión, de problemas, ilusión, desilusión...Era el día.
Cada uno de nosotros nos pusimos nuestras acreditaciones hechas anteriormente, en las cuales estaba escrito nuestro nombre y la palabra "organización", para que la gente pudiera reconocernos por si necesitaban algo.
El concierto era a las 19:00h, por lo tanto, a las 16:45h estábamos todos en el local para empezar a montar los instrumentos y comenzar las pruebas de sonido, junto al técnico encargado de este tema.
Dejamos a los músicos en el escenario montando todo lo necesario y hablando con el técnico de sonido, mientras nosotros comenzamos a repartirnos las diferentes tareas. Cuatro personas se encargarían de estar en taquilla, los demás estaríamos dentro controlando y disponibles por si alguien necesitara nuestra ayuda. En la barra, los camareros del local y, en la puerta, un encargado de seguridad, para controlar.
Era temprano, pero los nervios se notaban. Al vender las entradas ese mismo día, una hora antes, no teníamos número estimado de gente que fuera a venir, y la duda de si llenaríamos o no, estaba muy presente.
Colocamos todo lo necesario para la caja, los cambios, las entradas, las filas cero por si alguien quisiera comprarlas y no asistir... hasta un sello por si les apeteciera salir del local para tomar el aire y volver a entrar, ¡todo estaba pensado!
Las 18:00h de la tarde y empieza a llegar gente a comprar entradas...¡empezaban a notarse más los nervios! que si me dan 20'00 euros para comprar una sola entrada, cuál es su cambio, que si me piden tres y me pagan con 50'00 euros cuánto les devuelvo...¡típicos problemas que se solucionan con un cálculo mental rápido! Pero por ahí estaba la calculadora presente... ¡sólo por si acaso!
Los músicos también estaban algo inquietos, son chicos jóvenes que aunque hayan hecho sus pequeños pinitos por el mundo musical, actuar delante de la gente siempre es especial.
A las 19:00h comenzamos a movernos. Salieron dos compañeras nuestras a presentar el proyecto, Aldara y Candela.
"Somos un grupo de diez chicos de 1º de Bachillerato del Colegio Apóstol Santiago, que participamos en Euroscola 2015, un concurso que nos invita a realizar una iniciativa solidaria para celebrar el Año Europeo del Desarrollo. Y qué mejor manera de hacerlo mediante este concierto, que además de benéfico, ayuda a jóvenes con ansias de formar parte del difícil mundo de la música y les da la oportunidad de darse a conocer un poquito más, porque los jóvenes somos el futuro, y tenemos que darnos cuenta y ayudar con todo lo que esté en nuestras manos"- comenzaba nuestra compañera Candela.
"Los beneficios irán a parar al Centro de Día de Cáritas, donde niños desde 0 a 18 años, pasan el tiempo debido a malas conductas en la calle o por malos tratos o educación en sus casas. Allí, les ayudan tanto académica como personalmente, y ya que podría ser cualquiera de nosotros, para ellos va esta pequeña ayuda y les dedicamos este concierto."- prosiguió nuestra compañera Aldara.
Y tras aplausos, presentamos al primero de los cantantes, Long Legs, quien abrió el concierto.
Unos muy buenos 25 minutos de canciones conocidas que el público pudo corear al ritmo de la guitarra.. ¡Bravo!
Uno de nuestros compañeros, Luis, salió al escenario para dar los agradecimientos, que son una parte imprescindible.
"Gracias al local por el gran trato y las facilidades que nos han dado, a los cantantes por aceptar venir, y a todos y cada uno de vosotros por hacer esto posible! ¡Muchísimas gracias y a disfrutar con lo que viene ahora! ¡Olivier Martín!"
Llegó el turno de Olivier Martín, que con sólo su guitarra y su voz, supo ganarse al público de una forma impresionante...¡Y no nos extraña nada! Sabemos que llegará muy lejos. Unos increíbles 50 minutos con un buen rollo impresionante.
Y finalmente, para cerrar el concierto.. ¡turno de Blunk! ¡Arriba todo el público!
La aparición de Blunk supuso un gran alboroto. Pasábamos de una música más relajada a una totalemente movida...¡qué manera de saltar y moverse! Desde luego, otros 50 minutos maravillosos a su lado.
¡Tocaba salir a despedirse! Entre un montón de aplausos y flashes de cámaras, salimos todos los componentes de Nexus, todos los artistas y varios compañeros nuestros que nos habían ayudado de una forma u otra a lo largo de todo este proyecto.
Al bajar, la gente se hizo foto con los cantantes,nos llegaron muchas felicitaciones por parte de artistas, profesores que estaban allí y de parte de toda le gente del local, fue un gran gesto que desde luego, nos llenó de emoción.
Nos quedamos a recoger mientras hablábamos de cómo había salido todo... ¡Llenazo! ¡Más de 300 personas cuando en el local cabían 350! ¡Más de 1000 euros recaudados!
Increíble. Se nos puso a todos una gran sonrisa en la cara. Todo había salido tal cual lo planeado... Tanto esfuerzo había merecido la pena.
Terminamos de recoger, nos despedimos de los responsables del local, dándoles las gracias las cuales ellos nos devolvían por tan buen concierto.
Acompañamos a los artistas y nos quedamos un rato hablando con ellos. Nos felicitaron por cómo había ido todo y lo bien organizado que estaba.
"¡A ver cuándo organizáis otro y nos invitáis eh, muchas gracias y nos vemos pronto chicos, buen trabajo y mucha suerte con vuestro concurso!"
Y la verdad, no nos podemos quejar. Todo fue sobre ruedas, tanto esfuerzo y sacrificio sirvió para que esa noche saliera todo de maravilla. ¿Por qué decidimos hacer el concierto y no otra cosa? Porque creemos que además de recaudar dinero, uno de los grandes objetivos es dar facilidades a los demás, en este caso a gente joven, que es la que tiene que mantener todo esto en un futuro, y darles la confianza que hoy en día no se les da.
Y ya no sólo por el dinero recaudado, sino por una tarde llena de felicidad, de complicidad, de personas apostando fuertemente por el trabajo y esfuerzo de otra...

March 28, 2015 .... At last came the day of the concert! After much pressure, problems, illusion, delusion ... It was the day.
Each of us put on our accreditations made earlier, which was written our name and the word "organization" so that people could recognize us if they needed anything.
The concert was at 7 pm, therefore, at 4:45 pm were all on site to start riding the instruments and begin testing sound with the sound engineer.
We left the musicians on stage riding everything they needed and talking to the sound engineer, as we begin to divide up the different tasks.
Four people were ordered to be at the ticket office, the other would be in controlling and available if anyone needed our help. In the bar, waiters of the local and in the door, a safety officer, to control.
It was early, but the nerves are noticed. We were selling tickets that day, an hour before, we had not estimated number of people who were coming, and the question of whether or not we would fill, was very present.
We put everything to the ticket office: changes, tickets, tickets of zero rows if someone wanted to buy them and not attend ... until a seal if they felt like it leave the local for some fresh air and come back, everything was thought!
6:00 pm and starts coming people to buy tickets ... beginning to show more nerves! if you give me 20'00 euros to buy a single input, what is your change, if they ask me for three tickets and pay me with 50'00 euros how much I return them ... typical problems that are solved with quick mental calculation ! But there was a calculator ... just in case!
The musicians were also a little bit restless,they are young guys who although have made their small projects for the music world, performing in front of people always it's special.
At 7 pm we began to move. Two of our mates came to present the project, Aldara and Candela.
"We are a group of ten guys of 1º Bachillerato of Apóstol Santiago, who are participating in Euroscola 2015, a contest that invites us to make a charitable initiative to celebrate the European Year of Development. And what better way than through this concert, which in addition to charity, helps young people eager to join the difficult world of music and gives them the opportunity to be known a little more, because young people are the future, and we have to realize and help with everything that is in our hands" -started Candela.
"The proceeds will go to Caritas Day Centre, where children from 0-18 years spend time due to misconduct on the street or ill-treatment or education at home. There,they are helped them both academically and personally, and as it could be any of us, for them it is this small help and we dedicate them this concert."- finished Aldara.
And after applause, we presented the first of the singers, Long Legs, who opened the concert.
Good 25 minutes of familiar songs that the audience could sing along to the rhythm of the guitar .. So good!
One of our mates Luis, came on stage to give acknowledgments, which are an essential part.
"Thanks to the local for the great deal and the facilities have given us, singers who accepted, and each and every one of you for making this possible! Thank you and enjoy what comes next! Olivier Martin! "
It was the turn of Olivier Martin, who with just his guitar and his voice, was able to win the public in an impressive way ... And we no wonder nothing! We know he will go far. Incredible 50 minutes with a good impressive roll.
Finally, to close the concert... Blunk's time! C'mon all public!
The appearance of Blunk was a big fuss. We spent of a most relaxing music to a totalmente move ... what a way to jump and move! Another wonderful 50 minutes with them.
Time to say goodbye! Among a lot of applause and camera flashes, we went to say goodbye, all components of Nexus, all our artists and several colleagues who helped us in one form or another throughout this project.
When we finished, people became to take photo with singers, they came many congratulations from artists, teachers who were there and all you people of the place, it was a great gesture that certainly filled us with emotion.
We stayed there to clean at the same time we talked about how we did all ... all full! More than 300 people when in the local are 350 places! Over 1,000 euros raised!
Incredible. We get all a big smile on our faces. Everything had gone as planned, ... So much effort was worth it.
We ended up cleaning, we said goodbye to the responsible of the local, thanking them, which they returned us because of a good concert.
We accompany artists and stayed a while talking to them. We were welcomed by how it went and how well organized everything was.
"We are wishing you to organize another and invite us, thank you very much and see you soon guys, good work and good luck with your contest!"
And frankly, we can not complain. Everything went smoothly, much effort and sacrifice, served to a great night out. Why we decided to make the concert and nothing else? Because we believe that in addition to raising money, one of the major objectives is to make it easier for others, in this case young people, which is who have to keep all this in the future, and give them the confidence that today is not given to them.
And not just because of the money raised, for an afternoon full of happiness, complicity, people betting heavily on the work and effort of another ...
